We wanted to create a rug with Richa which wasn't the usual tried and tested 'rug' pattern, we set out to list all the subjects which we could use for this. They ranged from botanical prints to landscapes to architecture.We finally zeroed in on this Art Deco pattern which is very reminiscent of a retro Bombay (and indeed many other Indian cities from that period). The palm tree and the waves are a nod to the city as well. We went with a warm + cool color scheme of mainly peach, rust, yellow and blue/greens. The building, the arch and the royal staircase will always remind me of that era of style and class. Beautifully handcrafted in Merino Wool
